A Florida Dunkin’ Donuts employee was burned after an angry customer threw hot coffee in her face, according to police.

The New Port Richey Police Department was called to the incident, which occurred around 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning at a Dunkin’ Donuts on US Highway 19.

When officers arrived, they learned that a Dunkin’ Donuts employee had given a man a free extra cup of coffee.

Police said the man became angry, but did not provide further details. He then threw the cup of hot coffee at the employee’s face, causing blisters to break out on her skin.

The suspect appears to be driving a silver four-door pickup truck. He has short dark hair, a beard, a mustache, and a soul patch under his lip.
