Dear and Darling

TikTok creators Lilly and Paul also known as Dear and Darling are in the spotlight following accusations of child exploitation. The controversy erupted when a video criticizing their vacation went viral.

Despite having 171,000 followers, the couple addressed the allegations in a video, explaining their approach to content creation. KC Davis, a content creator with 1.6 million followers on domesticblisters, accused Dear and Darling of exploiting their six kids during a Disney World vacation.

She claimed that the couple pressured their children to produce 40 pieces of content and even shared a spreadsheet of video ideas. KC argued against supporting family vlogging channels, sparking a viral backlash against Dear and Darling.

Lilly Davis responded to the accusations, labeling them as “outrageous and false.” She expressed concern about the negative impact the viral video could have on her family, prompting her to address the situation. The couple denied being family vloggers and clarified their content creation practices.

Lilly explained that out of their last 250 videos, only 14 included their children excluding their oldest daughter, Maggie who is away at college.

She emphasized that even without the children, their content would largely remain unchanged, addressing comments from followers who assumed they didn’t have children based on their content.

With six kids five of whom are teenagers, Lilly asserted that each child has the choice to participate or not in content creation as they wish. She highlighted that the children’s involvement is sporadic with Paul participating more frequently.

Lilly dismissed claims of exploiting their children, arguing that their content often doesn’t feature the kids. She specifically addressed the accusations related to their vacation, stating that the assumption of planning 40 videos during their Disney World trip was untrue.

Clarification on Video Deletion by Creator

KC clarified that her intention wasn’t to encourage her followers to target Dear and Darling personally but asserted that her criticism was valid. She acknowledged the potential discomfort the couple might be experiencing but stood by her stance on the exploitative nature of planning content involving children during a family vacation.

In response Lilly Davis concluded the video by urging viewers to seek the facts before joining any criticism. She emphasized the real-life consequences that hate and threats can have on individuals and families, urging responsibility in supporting content creators.
